Some Canine Handlers have asked if the claims in the Abad case for non-canine handlers are different and whether they should be in both cases.  If you have been a canine handler the past 3 years and continue to work as such, you only need to be in this case – the Abrego case. This case covers all of the claims being asserted in the Abad case plus claims that are unique to canine handlers such as at-home care.  Both cases cover unpaid pre-shift, post shift and gun cleaning activities. Bottom line: If you have been a canine handler throughout the period for which we are claiming damages, you do not have to join Abad as this case will cover all of your claims.
