Hazardous Duty Pay Lawsuit (UPDATE)

NBPC Members:

UPDATE: August 14, 2021

Attention NBPC bargaining unit members who are NOT Border Patrol agents! A separate hazardous duty pay case is being filed for you. It is very important that you sign up for the correct case. If you signed up previously for the Border Patrol agent case, please sign up for this new case using the appropriate link below and send an email to the law firm at the email address below. As with the Border Patrol agent case, your job duties must have potentially exposed you to individuals who had COVID-19.

We are pleased to let you know that we have retained the law firm of McGillivary Steele Elkin LLP to handle a new lawsuit to recover hazardous duty pay for potential exposure to Covid-19 as a result of working near or in close proximity to those who have the virus. Due to the nature of our work, this includes individuals with whom we may come in contact in the field, as well as our coworkers.

As with the FLSA lawsuits, the case is being handled on a contingent fee basis of 25%. The union is paying for the out-of-pocket costs. The case is limited to union members.
